    ZANU-PF LEGITIMATE

    Morgan Phaahla, Ekurhuleni.

SA has a moral and political responsibility to take part in restoring peace and stability in the continent, including Zimbabwe. But as long as there is no legitimacy crisis in Zimbabwe, SA has no moral authority to interfere on domestic issues of Zimbabwe.

It is my view that the Zimbabwean people have spoken in one voice and their problems should be left them to solve. Zanu-PF is the ruling party voted for democratically. The government of the majority deserves to be respected as such.

However, majority rule does not mean abuse of power and violation of the rights of ordinary people and dissidents. Political settlement has to be reached through dialogue to bring economic stability. Hence the need for constructive engagement. It will give us the opportunity to help Zimbabweans in resolving their problems and stabilise their country and Africa as a whole.
